Whether you’ve cruised the supermarket aisles lately, stopped by a farm stand, or have the pleasure of living near a berry patch, you’re well aware that we are smack in the middle of strawberry season — finally!
To celebrate, and to raise money for more than 200 farmer’s markets statewide, the non-profit organization called Federation of Mass Farmers Markets has organized its third annual Strawberry Dessert Festival from now until July 4. The idea is for participating restaurants to develop desserts featuring local berries, then donate a percentage of the sales of those desserts to Mass Farmers Markets.
All you have to do is order those desserts, and enjoy!
Check out the full list of participating restaurants here — and rest assured, there’s ample opportunity to explore the creativity of pastry chefs all over Massachusetts, whether at restaurants that are already favorites or those a little off the beaten path.
